this my friends is a spectacular young lady. i photographed her family last fall, you can see the photos here, and i was thrilled when she contacted me to take her senior pictures.

i have to say this is quickly becoming an area of photography i enjoy tremendously. i love the freedom and fun that comes with these young adults.

on another note, ashton has read the harry potter series EIGHT TIMES! so understandably, we went to the local libary in bloomfield, kentucky. this little town is growing on me. so much i think i want to move there.

these were taken in the local antique store called nettie jarvis. it’s worth the trip just to go into this place.

and these were shot at the olde bloomfield meeting hall. it has a bowling alley, pool tables, skating rink AND a bar in it. not to mention the coolest stuff all over the place.

ok so ashton- you are awesome, drop dead gorgeous inside and out and so smart! had a blast with you. thanks for making my first senior session of the season so much fun!

i have been able to watch joe and katie from the start of their family. she hired me to take pictures of their first baby and we worked together that year photographing her milestones. when she became pregnant with her second, she called me back and i took these.

charlotte was born the week before last. i will post her newborn images very soon.

joe, katie, lily, and charlotte- thank you so much for trusting me and making me feel like part of your family. words cannot express my gratitude.

and thank you as well to susan, katie’s mom, for welcoming me into your home and for all of your help! i admire you so very much.

we were celebrating his big one year birthday. his mommy is “over the moon” with him…….. and these images. so am i!

it’s not easy photographing a baby this age. they want to look down at the ground and run all over the place.

three sisters [st.matthews family photographer]

as usual, i am sharing a fun session. these girls were troopers. it was chilly and windy, but for their father, they put up with the elements to give him the best birthday gift of all. photographs! i would have loved to see his reaction when he opened the package. i can imagine it is a melancholy feeling to see your little girls all grown up.

they are very close to their uncle and wanted him in some photos, it’s kind of a tradition. i understand uncles are special so this relationship made a lot of sense to me.

i took these at their house, which is AMAZING! this barn has been on the property for many many years. neighbors remember when horses would escape and be seen running down lexington road. i love a good barn.

cannot leave out this image. loved this dog!

i had a really great time with you guys! hope to do it again some day.

first grandchild

my friend is now a grandmother. i knew her son when he was in high school and now he is a daddy. i photographed her daughter as well for her senior pictures seen here. i received many referrals from that session so the only thing to do was pay it forward by photographing her first grandchild. welcome to the world baby boy.

my son and i went down to market st to spend some time together a few weeks back. it is so different down there these days. lots of shops and new construction going on. nice to see activity like this happening downtown. i guess we are catching up. finally! i really like this joint, called Please & Thank You. they have vinyl records, coffee and sweetness. enough said.

muth’s candy has been around since 1921 making bourbon chocolates.

just go down there, park and walk around. pleasant surprises await…..

#2 is almost here

i will be photographing this unborn baby when he gets here in the next few weeks. i decided i wanted to capture mommy and big sister before his birthday and i am so happy we did it. the weather has been warm here and i was desperate to get outside and take advantage of it.

can’t wait to meet #2 but until then….
