Little Lily is growing very very very fast, that is what they do. Before you know it she will be sixteen. I am telling you the truth and some of you know exactly what I am talking about. My boy will be sixteen in just a few days, that is driving age. My girl starts kindergarten in August. I am in a funk because I am having a hard time taking it for what it is without feeling guilty about what I haven’t done right. I am so NOT a perfect mom. I can do better I know for sure.
THIS mom however, is one I believe is all that I wish I could be. She is so happy and excited to be this baby’s mommy and wants to do it again and again. I asked her and she told me so, with a big, HUGE smile on her face. This family, I am very proud to say I know and more importantly proud to be a part of for the most special thing of all, their photographs. Daddy “ain’t” so bad himself.
Here’s to this new family! I am blessed, truly blessed to be able to do what I do…..
This is what she was doing on this day, and ya know what, this was new for her. Reaching for her toes and cutting her first teeth. A big milestone.
Lily- “I think I got it…”
“I know I got it”
“Oh YES I got it!!!!”
Lily-”My mommy is beautiful, I hope I look like her one day.” Me- “Yes me too Lily.”
Lily- “My dad is pretty handsome too.” Me- “Yes Lily I agree, that is the reason you are so beautiful.”
Lily- “They make a darn good Mom and Dad don’t they?” Me- “Absolutely, you are one lucky girl.”
